We visited Goderich while camping at Point Farms Provincial Park. Walking back to the vehicle after a stroll across the Menesetung Bridge, I saw we were just a few steps from the salt mine docks. Dad had photographed many
ships as they sailed past our home when I grew up along the St Clair River. He worked blocks away from the Sarnia docks, he had been known to go to the docks
during lunch with his camera. I had to go for a walk.
There are times when I’m photographing when it feels as if my eyes have just been opened. It's not something I can create, and it doesn't happen very often anymore, but it happened here. I've written how some of my images help me appreciate the wonder of creation and the Creator, during these moments of capturing the beauty of the world around us are deep moments for me.
I could have spend hours here, observing and capturing the environment, but time was short, after just a few shots, we had to leave.
