I have quite a few images in my Lightroom gallery which have been taken in foggy conditions.
Here is a great example of the 'benefit' of fog.
The picture on the left was taken on Monday, a relatively clear day, on the right taken Wednesday, a very foggy morning. See how the fog clears up the background?
