This St Jacobs window caught my eye quite a while ago, and it's been on my list of things to capture ever since. The juxtaposition of the tools with the frilly window covering, originally peaked my interest, but it took a while for me to get the shot in the conditions I was looking for.
While working on the shot, it occurred to me that I had a few window images where red was a dominant colour, and I thought aha! A Mini-gallery! Ever since the ‘winter trees’ blog entry, I’ve been thinking more about mini-galleries with a noun and adjective, can provide more focus on my photographic subject. For example, I have so many windows or door shots, that a gallery gets so big that the images get lost. However something like Red Windows keeps it short, and something that works.
Incidentally, these three St Jacobs window shots will be going up on my office wall as soon as renovations at work are finished, time to replace the Sauble Falls Series.
